We have a saying in Australia that goes “call me anything you like as long as it is not late for dinner."

Anyway I'm not on this website on a self-promotion kick or to give you my resume. I would much rather extol the virtues of my beloved hometown of Perth in Western Australia. Perth is probably the remotest city in the world but it is without question one of the most naturally beautiful in the world. The air is clean and its skies are bluer than anywhere else I have been. Over close to the past 10 years as operations manager and property consultant for Asia and the Middle East with Design 5 a division of Plunkett Homes I'm based in Singapore but travel widely through the region promoting Perth real estate. So if you are interested in a property in Perth or know someone that is please keep me in mind.

I have a portfolio of some sound investment opportunities as well as a number of desirable locations should you be intending to move to Perth soon or sometime in the future. Whichever you should secure your home now as prices are steeply on the rise and will continue to do so for quite some time to come. In 5 years you could well pay double of what you would pay now (historically property value doubles every 7 years.)

I'm firmly of the belief that the northern beach strip from Triggs to Quinns beach will not only show enormous capital growth over the next few years but is without doubt the most sought after and offers the best life style found anywhere in the world. My home is in the suburb of Sorrento, which forms part of this strip.

Mandurah to the south is also a huge growth area and the beach and canal front homes are still quite affordable here. The newly developed Port Bouvard a few minutes south of Mandurah is a golfers and boating enthusiasts paradise and offers great investment potential. International Hotel group Marriot are developing a 180-room resort hotel as one of the star attractions of the estate, overlooking the ocean and 18 hole international standard golf course.

Other very good investment opportunities exist near anyone of Perth' s universities but especially the Curtin University which enjoys a huge Asian student population. One can expect rental returns of around 8% in this location. Another good location is near to the Murdoch University, which also offers attractive rental returns.
